Her impressive list of qualifications includes a Master’s Degree in Health Science; a Bachelor of Secondary Education with specializations in Health, Physical Education, and Mathematics. Not to mention, she also holds several certificates, including a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Certificate IV in Small Business Management, and a Certificate III in Fitness. Alina is also a certified AUSTSWIM swim instructor and presenter, as well as a Pool Lifeguard and Aquatic Rescue Instructor.

She was awarded AUSTSWIM QLD's Most Outstanding Contribution in 2017, as well as AUSTSWIM National and QLD Presenter of the Year in 2010.
