Advanced Resuscitation is the coordinated delivery of essential medical interventions designed to reverse the effects of cardiac arrest. During a cardiac arrest, the heart actually stops, and a victim will quickly begin to experience brain injury and other irreversible effects. Administering the correct medical interventions quickly can be the difference between life and death. Advanced Resuscitation, unlike standard CPR, mobilizes a broader range of medical interventions that include intubation, medications, and defibrillation.
